We have a collection of distinguished and highly successful school and academy leaders who work with leaders using a variety of coaching models. The approach depends on the needs and requirements of the colleagues involved and the context they are working within. In addition to our educational coaches we have some coaches from the world of business who are sometimes highly effective in providing a unique and original insight into a situation. The period, frequency and goals of the coaching programme are set out clearly at the beginning of the programme. An external coach brings a fresh insight to a situation whilst maintaining confidentiality. We find that coaching is particularly useful for leaders preparing for or managing a transition or for those who want to work on specific areas of leadership.
